Tai chi, which originated in China as a martial art and a means of self-defense, sometimes referred to as “moving meditation” — practitioners move their bodies slowly, gently, and with awareness, while breathing deeply. Now, it is practiced for health purpose as well.

IGARSS 2016 has prepared a Tai Chi lesson for you, you can wear the traditional Tai Chi suit and learn with the Tai Chi Master.

Please be at Gate C3, Lobby of China National Convention Center at 18:50, volunteers will guide you to the training venue.

Join us for the fifth annual Women in Geosciences and Remote Sensing event at IGARSS. The luncheon is open by registration to women and men in all stages in their careers. The event will provide networking opportunities and a forum for discussion between participants.

Invited Speaker: Qian (Jenny) Du (IEEE GRSS JSTARS Editor-in-Chief) with roots from China will be the featured speaker for the IGARSS Women's Luncheon. She will talk about how to become more involved with GRSS and why GRSS membership elevation can enhance your career.

The IGARSS 2016 Awards Banquet will be held at the National Museum of China (NMC), which is located at the east side of Tiananmen Square, opposite the Great Hall of the People. Its basic functions include collecting cultural relics and artworks, exhibitions, public outreach, history and art research and cultural communication. Before the banquet, we will invite the participants to visit “Ancient Chinese Bronze Art”. A cocktail will be available before the Award Banquet too.

Tickets are limited, so please register early for this event!

Attendees, who are invited to Award Banquet on July 14, please be sure to gather at the gate of China National Convention Center (CNCC) before 17:15 and take shuttle bus to National Museum of China.
